In honor of International Women’s Day, DoorDash launched Made By Women — an initiative that provided female entrepreneurs with the resources they need to make an impact.

DoorDash supports women-owned businesses
Women are more likely to start a business than men. But despite evidence that women-led businesses are often highly successful, they’re less likely to survive. So we developed the Made by Women initiative to show that DoorDash is committed to changing that.
We leveraged the DoorDash platform to promote and drive revenue to women-owned businesses. To support female entrepreneurs, we created a resource center that provided business development tools and partnered with women leadership programs. To drive awareness of the campaign, we partnered with artist Naomi Vona to create artwork and share stories of Merchant and Dasher female entrepreneurs. The initiative was meant to launch with a celebratory in-person event, however because of Covid-19 safety measures, the community engaged in a completely online experience.
